Ken Holdt

Ken Holdt is so delighted to work with NO PROMISES!  A conservatory-trained pianist, vocalist, organist, and trumpet player, Ken leads a vibrant and growing choral program at Sycamore High School in the Sycamore Community School District as director of choral activities, with choral groups recently performing with Eric Church at US Bank Arena and Foreigner at River Bend Music Center.

Ken graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with bachelor’s degree in music education having studied choral conducting with Dr. Stephen Coker.  He finished a master’s degree in choral conducting from Florida State University, studying with Dr. Andre Thomas, in 2009; and a second master’s degree in school leadership at Miami University in 2014 because one masters is never enough.  Ken has been a conductor, clinician, and pianist with the Cincinnati Children’s Choir; lecturer in musical theatre at CCM’s Preparatory Department; and director of contemporary worship and music at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church among other pursuits.  

He and his wife Amber enjoy time with their children Lily, Isaac, Kate, and Hannah.
